We are currently looking to fill the following roles:

Fencer

Fencer.

We are currently seeking to develop a new candidate to join the team as a Fencer.  

As a Fencer, you will be required to carry out all necessary tasks for erection of high-quality fencing. This will include assisting with the manufacturing and installation of all types of fencing, from rural fencing through to the highest security fencing.

Once taught the necessary skills, you will be a good team player and leader, capable of thinking on your feet and solving practical problems, be able to interpret site plans and carry out works with little instruction.

PLC Fencing is a great place to work and has clear pathways to develop your skills and experience in the construction industry. The right person will find themselves developing into a supervisor, site manager, project manager and further.

The ideal candidate will be willing to travel Australia wide to complete works (travel, accomodation, meals and living away allowance is paid plus regular breaks to return home).


Skills and Experience

We are seeking to develop the right candidate so therefore no experience is necessary. We will provide all training as required. 

The following experience is desirable:

  • Basic understanding of or experience in the construction industry and/or fencing industry.
  • Experience operating plant and machinery. incl. tickets
  • Labouring experience
  • Concreting experience
  • Basic welding experience.

Qualifications

The right candidate must have a current drivers license. We will provide all other qualifications as required.  This may include:

  • White Card
  • Forklift licence
  • MR/HR/HC heavy vehicle licence
  • All high risk work licences
  • Various plant and machinery tickets.

Welder.

We are currently seeking to develop a new candidate to work with our existing team as a Welder.   

As a Welder, you will be required to carry out all necessary tasks for the completion of high-quality welding and fabrication at our Monarto workshop.

PLC Fencing is a great place to work with a great team and good working culture.  You will work in a highly skilled team that includes an experienced boilermaker.  The team works collaboratively and is supportive. The company has clear pathways to develop your skills and experience.

You will work from our Office in Monarto (15 minutes from Murray Bridge and 35 minutes from Glen Osmond).


Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in welding is essential but formal qualifications are not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and follow instructions
  • White Card is preferred but not essential
  • Forklift license is preferred but not essential
  • EWP ticket is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in general machinery maintenance is desirable.

Fencing Construction Site Supervisor/Project Manager.

We are currently seeking to develop a new candidate to work with our existing team as a Welder.   

As a leader in the industry, we specialise in providing top-quality fencing solutions to our clients across various sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects and advance your career in the construction field.

The ideal candidate will be willing to travel Australia-wide to complete works (travel, accommodation, meals and living away allowance are paid plus regular breaks to return home).


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of fencing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Supervise a team of construction workers, providing clear instructions and guidance to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify any issues, and implement corrective measures as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Track project expenses, monitor resource allocation, and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment for construction projects.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in fencing construction in either security, commercial, residential and rural fencing, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of installation techniques, materials, and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations within the construction industry.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Valid driver’s license.

The following Qualifications and Certifications are a plus:

  • White Card
  • Forklift licence
  • MR/HR/HC heavy vehicle licence
  • Any high-risk work licences
  • Various plant and machinery tickets
  • Relevant technical certifications or vocational training.
